Dowagiac, MI Whelen Vortex - Full Wail and Full Hi Lo - Michigan Statewide Tornado Drill - 3/18/26

So glad I (Burns) finally got to do this. Dowagiac's sirens go off weekly every Saturday at noon for weekly test but the weekly test involves a short 5 second alert and then they shut off. Every year for for the statewide tornado drill they set off their sirens like it was a real warning in which the wail signal is activated and then the all clear signal (Hi Lo) is activated shortly after. I had filmed this siren back in 2013 with Noie (one of the OG videos on the channel) but it only did about 5 seconds of alert so it was nice coming back after all these years to hear what it would sound like for the real deal. Dowagic has three vortexes. This is the one located on the west side of the city by the car wash on Grove St and Paul St. The Dowagiac fire department also controls the Mods that the Indian tribe bought that surround the city.
