Mask Making: "Dead by Daylight" - The Onryo's "Sadako Rising" Mask

Hi there! Welome to the first episode of our annual Countdown to Halloween 2022 edition! Today, we're making the „Sadako Rising“ mask from „Dead by Daylight“. It especially interested me because of it's overall form, the exceptional creep factor and of course the hair :D Since my life is still very much chaos, as I have become a dementia caregiver, this year's videos are a little less organized than before. I have noticed that I make more mistakes, but that's to be expected I guess. There is an overall lack of planning on my part, I just really needed to get into the mask dungeon and do something every now and again. Sometimes, all that helps calm down after a long, hard day is doing something with my hands. So I hope you can bear with me when I have to go back and cut off pieces that were done wrong or re-sculpt. All in all, I did have a lot of fun working on this year's line-up and I wouldn't wanna miss our Halloween tradition. That said, the Sadako mask was by far the easiest one to work at this year lol. I did have some trouble with the hair in the end, because I didn't make enough wefts (again, planning). I probably made it in between projects and forgot to film. It's easy, though: You cover the chin of the mask with cellophane and then copy the shape by adding strips of masking tape. The process can also be seen in the Cenobite video from last year, so pls check it out there. *** materials used: mask base (either store bought or your own mould – learn how to make it on my channel) cardboard clay (learn how to make it on my channel!) PVA glue (brands like „Elmer's“ or „Ponal“) packing paper (you can also substitute with newspaper but might need more) hot glue polymer clay (I'm using „Fimo soft“) masking tape craft cardboard plastic foil / cellophane acrylic paints tools: craft knife hot glue gun scissors pen/pencil sculpting tools (preferrably plastic) paint brushes/sponges
