Upstream violence prevention: Exploring the social drivers of violent crime (HPIO, July 30, 2024)

This webinar, hosted by the Health Policy Institute of Ohio on July 30, 2024, provided data and information from HPIO's latest brief, "Criminal Justice and Health: Social drivers of violent crime." Speakers provided an overview of recently passed or proposed state-level policy changes that may have an impact on community violence, and a set of evidence-informed policy recommendations and implementation examples that Ohio can leverage to drive improvement. Guest speakers highlighted work at the local-level to address community conditions to prevent violence.
