2010 GL450 x164 front differential and drive shaft replacement

There isn’t much vídeos on how to replace the front differential so I decided to share this vídeo to the group. Be aware the dealer will quote nearly $4000 to replace with a refurbished and also give you an option to replace with a used on for $2000 no warranty. These front differential on x164 and compatible models do suffer to break down , and wether I had the choice to replace the bearing and rebuild the one taken off that will be another video in the future on my weekend hobbies, so for now I decided to replace my front differential with a used donor from a 2011 with only 56,000 miles on it and a 90 day warranty from eBay respected seller for only $300 shipped to my door. There are some details not completely covered ateo by step but this shows anyone can do it for under $400 including fluid. Total time from start to finish 5 hours.
