The Lore Accurate Dragonborn Would Kill Paarthurnax

So I was going back through Skyrim’s main quest and listening to everything the Greybeards say about Dragonrend and came to the conclusion that Paarthurnax would have to die. From a roleplaying perspective, I think the Dragonborn may not kill Paarthurnax today, he may not do it tomorrow, but the longer you think about it, it’s just too much of a risk to let him live. He’s been meditating and waiting for Alduin to return, probably knowing the Last Dragonborn would come with him. I think there’s a nonzero chance that Paarthurnax has been meditating and biding his time waiting for Alduin to pass. Then, he only needs to wait for you to pass away. A blip in the life of an immortal Dovah. Paarthurnax will then more or less have free reign to return to his dominant ways. Who could oppose him? I didn’t get this into the video, but he tells us that debate and combat are one and the same to the Dovah. So in going off to evangelize the other dragons into his Way of The Voice, is he not in some ways still seeking to dominate? I love Paarthurnax. But you only know you love him when you let him go. The world of dragons is over, that’s your real duty as Dragonborn: to slay all dragons.
