Babovic. ________________________________________ ANTHEM OF PLANET EARTH - Film Music This composition was born from a childhood vision of shapes in the clouds — faces, horses, animals — as if the forms of the world already existed there, waiting to be born. Years later, I encountered a similar idea in Hegel: the journey from the Idea, through its materialization, to the human mind in which the Idea becomes conscious of itself. The melody was intentionally conceived as simple and open — a melody that can be repeated without becoming tiring. Anthem of Planet Earth was created from that thought. This video brings a film version of the composition, which can serve as a theme for a film about life in space with a view of our blue planet, as well as about love as a universal theme of humanity. In that sense, I also see this channel as a small open classroom for people of all ages who are beginning to create their own music: a place where they can learn to trust their ideas and believe that even a small musical thought can one day come to life and bring listeners the joy that music can give. As a passionate lover of music, which I regard as one of the highest forms of art, and especially of classical music and the piano, I have long felt that something was missing from much of the contemporary piano music I encountered. I missed the kind of beauty that makes a person want to return to a composition and hear its melody once again. Many composers of serious music in the twentieth century turned toward dissonance and atonality, exploring new possibilities of musical expression — from atmospheric and experimental music to extreme virtuosity. For me, however, something was often missing: the melody that invites the listener to return. This is one reason why so many listeners continued to turn to Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and the great masters of earlier centuries. In my view, much of the space left by this change was filled by film composers, as well as by blues, jazz, pop and rock musicians. Their originality would surely have delighted Bach, Beethoven and Mozart had they been alive to hear it. I tried to fill that missing space for myself as well. From childhood, while playing the piano, I composed short and simple pieces that brought me joy and lifted my spirits. In the vast ocean of piano music and music in general, I am simply trying to make my own small contribution — like one more little wave coming from the open sea, trying to reach a safe shore. I hope this composition might inspire some listeners to play it themselves one day — on the piano or perhaps in a new cinematic arrangement. If any musician, arranger, composer or film maker feels interested in developing or arranging this composition in some way, I would be very happy to hear their ideas and explore the possibility of a collaboration.
