Shift Solenoid Diagnosis and Repair

This shift solenoid diagnosis and repair procedure was for the repair of a P0773 Diagnostic Trouble Code which required replacement of the SL solenoid in a 1997 ES 300. Diagnosis and Repair of the Shift Solenoid also required removal of the valve body to get access to the solenoid. When diagnosing and repairing a shift solenoid problem, its important to follow the correct procedure when performing electrical checks and when removing and replacing parts to gain access to the shift solenoid.
