Much like with the Kimono compilation, it seems that western cartoonists care little about any legit representations and are keen to just put stuff in and say that it is from Hawai'i or it is hula dancing despite having little to do with the culture (this is also why I generally adore with Lilo and Stitch among other reasons) Hula isn’t the only type of native Polynesian dance.
