September In The New Garden: The One Change That Transformed It!

September has been a month for major changes in our YouTube garden. One of the key tasks was to replace the path which connects the two main parts of the garden. The answer lay in putting in a brand new herringbone path which is much more in keeping with a traditional cottage garden. The hot weather has also given me a chance to pick out the plants that have done particularly well this year and in this video I recommend some of my favourites. The other good news is we’ve had some rain! This has meant that the soil in the beds has softened. I take advantage by planting some of my favourite showstopping bulbs, including stunning alliums and tulips, into the borders. This means I’ll be guaranteed some fantastic colours in the garden come the spring! Autumn is here and I’m embracing it!
