The horror inside Layers of Fear reaches another level in Part 4. Up until now, the terror mainly came from the constantly shifting mansion — hallways changing behind you, locked doors appearing out of nowhere, and entire rooms transforming the moment you look away. But now the dynamic changes completely. SHE is no longer just a looming presence. Now she actively hunts me throughout the mansion. And the worst part? The puzzles don’t stop just because she’s chasing you. One of the most intense moments in this chapter forces me to navigate what feels like a giant labyrinth while searching for keys, all while being relentlessly pursued by her. The lantern can temporarily stop her for a few seconds… but she always comes back. Always.
