Welcome to our video, “The Beauty We Inherited.” In this journey, we share the rich cultures of Myanmar — Akha, Karen, and Shan. Each of us tells a simple and meaningful story about the traditions we grew up with and the things that still shape our identity today. You will learn about Thanaka, a natural beauty practice that keeps us cool and protected under the hot sun. We also take you to Shan State, where peaceful mountains, graceful dances, and colorful festivals bring joy to everyone who visits. Then, we share the Karen Wrist-Tying Ceremony, a beautiful tradition that gives blessings, strength, and love. Finally, we explore Akha traditional clothing, decorated with silver and patterns that carry history from one generation to the next. Our cultures are our pride. We hope this video helps you feel the beauty and warmth of our heritage.
