A graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and former deck officer, Kathy served as President and CEO of the Chamber of Shipping of America from 2015 to 2025, following 18 years as its Director of Maritime Affairs. During her tenure, she became a prominent voice on U.S. and international shipping policy, including maritime safety, environmental regulation, decarbonization, cybersecurity, offshore development, and the maritime workforce. She now serves as President Emeritus of CSA and continues to advise the industry on technical and regulatory matters.
