Joe Henry - "Civil War" | Fretboard Journal

Joe Henry performs "Civil War" at the Fretboard Journal magazine offices. "Civil War" was originally found on Henry's 2007 album, 'Civilians.' Joan Baez ended up covering it on her 2018 album, 'Whistle Down the Wind,' which was produced by Henry. On this tune, Henry is playing his '30s 14-fret Gibson L-00. Henry was featured in the Fretboard Journal #26 discussing this guitar (and his other '30s Gibsons). He also penned a feature story in the FJ on pedal steel guitar whiz Greg Leisz (Fretboard Journal #33) and appeared at our first-ever Fretboard Summit.
