Reid (#221) in a 25-kart Mini field at Champions of the Future America Round 8, K1 Circuit, Winchester CA — his first national series and by far the biggest grid he's raced. Qualified 22nd, then the drive of the weekend: six karts passed in the Super Heat for 15th. Started the Final from Row 9 and brought it home 19th, best lap 1.3 seconds off the winner. Every shot the broadcast got of the 221, plus the part where the commentators work out why his dad is racing too.
