If You Get Angry Easily, This Might Change Your Perspective

Anger and retaliation are things I’ve struggled with my entire life. But after hearing this story from John Bevere, I started looking at anger, revenge, forgiveness, and God’s justice completely differently. When someone wrongs us, our instinct can be to retaliate, get even, or make sure they feel what they did to us. But Scripture tells us something radically different: “Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God.” — Romans 12:19 When we take vengeance into our own hands, we don’t only sin against the person who wronged us. We can damage our own peace, carry that anger into other areas of our lives, and take justice into our hands instead of trusting God with it. In this video, I share a story that completely changed my perspective on anger and retaliation—and showed me why God’s justice can be far more loving and perfect than anything we could accomplish through revenge.
