*Please Read the Description* ----------------------------------------------- UPDATE: Holy CRAP. Over 2,000 views! I can't believe it! You guys are awesome! It makes me so happy to see that people still watch and love this video. You all inspire me to keep doing what I love and making videos like these. Thank you so much. (July 27th 2020).  UPDATE: PART 2 HAS BEEN TAKEN DOWN. (October 15th 2018) Sorry, guys. I don't mean to dissappoint anyone, but I just wasn't happy with it. I should have just left the first one alone. The main reason is that I really like the way this one ended. It feels very conclusive, so the second part just felt like unnecessary baggage as a result. Plus, I think it was inappropriate of me to talk about my personal life/childhood in a formal video essay. For these reasons, I took Part 2 down. But the original part is here to stay. I promise. It's been a few months now since I posted it and I'm still very proud of it. I can't believe it almost has over 200 views now! That's awesome. Thank you, everyone!! PART 3 12:01 Conclusion 13:23 Credits ------------------------------ Hello everyone. I know I've been gone for a while. This hiatus was way longer than I ever wanted it to be, but the point is, I'm back now. I don't want to talk too much about this video because I think it speaks for itself. However, I will say that this is a film that is very near and dear to my heart. It is so much more to me than just my favourite film. It's a part of me now. I've accepted that, for better or for worse. Needless to say, I held nothing back with this one. While collecting the footage, doing the research and uploading the media, I probably spent about 15 hours working on this in total, which is the most amount of time I've ever spent making anything. It was a tedious process from beginning to end and I ran into many pitfalls along the way. I can honestly say that I cried and sweated over this project, but that being said, I had so much fun working on it. I am so in love with this film, I have been for many years now, so I really tried to give it my all. I am very proud of it. Regardless of what anyone else says, I am VERY proud of the work I did on this video. The self-satisfaction that comes with accepting your own work is very rewarding. That being said, I did make a few errors. And I know that at least two times during the video, there is an issue with the narration audio. I apologize for that and I hope it won't hinder your viewing experience too much. This entire video had to be re-uploaded as well because there were typos in some of the quote segments. You guys deserve better than that so I wasn't about to let that one go. I can also explain the reason for the quality of the footage. Basically, the short version is that Avid wouldn't allow me to import the mp4 file of the film, so I had to record the movie with my Nikon camera pointed at my computer screen. I'm not proud of it, but it got the job done. I also messed up A LOT while recording the narrations for this video and ran into some issues with that. If a blooper reel is something you would be interested in, please let me know. Further below are the links to some of the sources that I used for this video. If anyone has questions about any of the topics that were mentioned within it, I would be more than happy to discuss them with you. Above all, thank you in advance for watching. I can only hope that you will feel my love and passion for this film through this video. That is all I ever really set out to do with this project. But in the process, I hope you find it interesting and fascinating. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
