What if trying to get rid of anxiety is sometimes keeping your attention locked onto it? When anxiety shows up, it makes sense to check your body, monitor your breathing, look for reassurance, and ask yourself whether the feeling is getting better. Yet constant checking can keep the nervous system focused on the very sensations you want to escape. In this video, I’ll show you a different way to respond to anxiety using three simple steps: Notice. Name. Reorient. You’ll also learn a simple metaphor I call The Anxiety Room: You are the house. Anxiety is one room. In this video, you’ll learn: why fighting anxiety can sometimes intensify the anxiety cycle how body checking can keep your attention focused on symptoms what acceptance actually means how to separate physical sensations from frightening predictions how orientation can help you reconnect with the present the three-step Notice – Name – Reorient method a different way to recognize progress in anxiety recovery Instead of asking only: “Did I feel anxious today?” you can begin asking: “How did I respond when anxiety showed up?” That shift can reveal progress you may have been missing. If anxiety is significantly interfering with your daily life, consider reaching out to a qualified mental health professional. On this channel, you’ll find practical videos about anxiety, panic, trauma, nervous system regulation, and ways to reconnect with safety and everyday life.
