Black Knights Combat Operation September 4th 2026

========Operation Fallen Angel======== 39th Millenium - Segmentum Obscurus - Markun System - Markun Primus Markun Primus is a mining world, in the planet's core is a volatile resource that is shipped to Forge World Agrippina’s /REDACTED/ division. Unbeknownst to the imperial citizens the planet was infected with an underground xenos species. The Ordo Xenos kept tabs on the population on its secret visits to the planet. In 886.M39 there hadn’t been an inquisitorial strike team in some years, and the Xenos emerged from their subterranean habitats and viciously struck out at the planet's population and defence forces. The ambush from below was so well co-ordinated that the PDF of Markun Primus did not stand a chance. With the Mordian system being closest, regiments of the Mordian Iron Guard were sent to assist. The war waged on for months but ultimately failed in quelling the Xenos rebellion. Psykers assigned to the mordians reported the taint of the immaterium was spread across the xenos forces. As the Mordian Iron Guard’s forces were dwindling a call was sent for Astartes. The Xenos were gathering prisoners to some remote islands and they began a chaotic ritual. The Black Knights were the closest astartes chapter that could send reinforcements. The Chapter had intel that Fallen were in the system and could be behind the warp tainted xenos uprising. The 2nd Company where deployed to the Markun System with help of the Chief-Librarian from the chapter’s Librarius. They could not simply push for an exterminatus due to the finite valuable yet volatile resource deep in the planet's crust. As all the xenos pulled to the remote Islands, Squads Vanguard, Premier and Dominus of the Black Knights 2nd company began their rites to wage war. Brother-Lieutenant Andy briefed the squads on Operation Fallen Angel. The Battle-Brothers were to drop in the holy assault pods down onto the Islands, and work their way through each defended position, purging all signs of the Xenos foe and stopping the chaos ritual they were preparing.
