‘This AD Crossed a Line?’ | Ohio Republicans Slam Ramaswamy’s MIDTERM Action AD | Vance WARNS | N18G

WATCH : The Ohio governor’s race is facing fresh controversy after Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy released a campaign ad featuring the estranged mother of his Democratic opponent, Amy Acton. The ad has drawn criticism from Democrats and prominent Republicans, exposing divisions within the GOP ahead of the November 3, 2026 midterm elections. Ohio Senator Jon Husted said, “I would not have run that ad,” while Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose also expressed reservations about the campaign spot. Vice President JD Vance pushed back against Republican criticism, urging party members to focus on winning the election rather than criticising the advertisement. President Donald Trump also commented on the controversy, saying he did not believe Ramaswamy was responsible for the strained relationship between Acton and her mother. Ramaswamy has confirmed that the ad came from his campaign, which announced plans to spend $4 million promoting it. Acton’s campaign has condemned the advertisement and responded with its own message. #VivekRamaswamy #AmyActon #JDVance #DonaldTrump #OhioPolitics #USMidterms #GOP #Election2026 #BreakingNews #N18G CNN-News18 is your trusted source for breaking news, updates, and in-depth analysis from around the world.
