It was time to leave Thailand after an unforgettable trip. My return flight was Singapore Airlines SQ707 from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Singapore. Since I arrived at the airport almost 4 hours before departure, I completed check-in, security, and immigration much earlier than expected. With nearly 2 hours and 40 minutes remaining before boarding, I decided to explore the departure area and film a complete walking tour of one of Southeast Asia's busiest international airports. Everything inside the terminal was modern, spacious, and easy to navigate. There were plenty of restaurants, cafés, duty-free shops, luxury brands, seating areas, and charging stations. If it's your first time flying from Bangkok, this video will give you a realistic look at what to expect after immigration. However, one thing completely surprised me. As a smoker, I wanted to have a cigarette before boarding my long international flight. I walked around searching for a smoking room, only to discover that there is no public smoking room or designated smoking area inside the departure terminal. The only indoor smoking area appears to be inside the Miracle Lounge, meaning passengers without lounge access have no place to smoke after passing immigration. For occasional travelers this may not matter, but for smokers facing long international flights, this can be frustrating.
