Follow His Voice

Have you ever had plans for your day, only to have them completely changed? You’re ready to go. You know where you want to be. You’ve got everything organised - and then something happens, and you have to stop. Sometimes the hardest thing isn't moving forward. It's staying still when you want to move. And sometimes, following God means staying still instead of moving. In Numbers 9, Israel was travelling through the wilderness, and God gave them a very unusual way of knowing when to move. His presence appeared as a cloud. When the cloud lifted, the Israelites moved. When the cloud settled, they stopped. Scripture says: “At the command of the Lord they remained encamped, and at the command of the Lord they journeyed.” Their movement were determined by God. If God moved, they moved. If God stopped, they stopped.
