We drove from the Willamette Valley to the Oregon Coast under sun, and arrived at Cape Perpetua under fog. I came carrying fifteen vials of sacred water, gathered from waterways around the world, intended for a blessing ceremony on the beach. The ceremony never happened. Sacred water found us anyway ~ moving through fog, through stone, through ancient trees, and through us, before we ever reached the water we carried. Join us for a day of relationship with the living Earth: ~ A sand mandala at Seal Rock, built to be taken by the tide ~ The trail up Cape Perpetua, where fog gathers on the trees and becomes rain ~ The historic stone shelter, where fog rises upward and moves through us like a purification ~ The visitor center, and a look at millions of years of Earth's changing story ~ Cook's Chasm, the Spouting Horn, and Thor's Well, where the Pacific meets volcanic rock with tremendous force ~ Offerings of tobacco, acknowledgment, and gratitude, left along the way This is a day of listening, witnessing, honoring, offering, receiving, remembering. A reminder that the Earth is alive, in relationship with us, and always speaking. 🌊 Sacred water. Sacred Earth. Nurturing our nature, nurturing our sacred selves.
