Power Without Repentance | Pastor Zeb Cook | Apex Baptist Church

This week’s message, “Power Without Repentance,” comes from Acts 8:9–24 and examines the story of Simon the magician. Simon was impressed by the power of God, but the passage challenges us to consider whether we merely want what God can do for us—or whether we are fully surrendered to Him. In this sermon, we explore the difference between being influenced by Jesus and genuinely transformed by Him; celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit without trying to control it; and see correction as an invitation to repentance rather than shame. God is not primarily interested in what we can get from Him—He wants us to belong completely to Him. Join us as we ask the honest question: Do I truly want Jesus, or only the things I hope Jesus will give me? The safest place for your heart is fully surrendered to Christ.
