Griswold Cast Iron Skillets: USA Made Excellence

These cast iron pans are THE BEST cast iron pans out there. Lodge Logic does not even come close to the perfection that was achieved by the Griswold & Wagner company between 1865 and 1957 in Erie Pennsylvania. Because these pans have been out of production for some time, they are considered "antiques" or "collectibles" and like any antique or collectible the price of these pans can vary greatly depending on a number of things. For my uses I just need pans that are suitable for cooking in, this means, that I was looking for pans that sat flat, were not rusted out, and were milled perfectly smooth on the cooking surfaces. In a future video I plan on going into why my wife and I have been transitioning to using solely cast iron skillets, and stainless steel pots (possibly cast iron pots too if I can acquire some). Needless to say, there are obvious health advantages to cooking with cast iron, and the durability of cast iron means that I will never have to purchase replacements for these cast iron pans in my life.
