Your lemon tree's leaves are turning yellow—even though you water it carefully every day?
Before adding more water, check whether the soil is still moist.
At Kanda Citrus Farm, we look at yellowing and leaf drop during a prolonged rainy spell, discuss a customer's greenhouse watering routine, and demonstrate checking the soil with a fingertip. We also explain why our potting mix retains water and when we consider moving pots out of the rain.
Watering intervals mentioned here describe our own pots, growing conditions, and weather at the time of filming. They are not a fixed schedule for every plant, and yellow leaves alone do not establish the cause. Weather references are from the recording, not a current forecast.
What citrus are you growing, and where do you keep it? Tell us in the comments. Subscribe for practical observations from our citrus farm and enjoy growing through to harvest.
