After visiting the roaring cascading curtain of Seljalandsfoss, we joined a guided small group tour bound for Þórsmörk—often revered as the crown jewel of the Icelandic Highlands. One the way, our local guide uncle took us off the beaten path to explore his favorite hidden gems and the striking volcanic ice of Sólheimajökull glacier tongue.
