LANTERNS Finale EXPOSES the Hypocrisy of DC Fans

Is LANTERNS Episode 8 the ultimate proof that modern Hollywood writers have zero respect for DC lore, classic heroes, or simple storytelling? In this video, we break down the disaster that is the Lanterns season finale. From turning John Stewart into an unhinged anti-hero who acts worse than the villains, to destroying Hal Jordan's heroic legacy for cheap "subversion", James Gunn’s DCU flagship series has completely collapsed under the weight of pretentious "prestige TV" cope. The finale literally turns John Stewart into a Yellow Lantern who charges his ring with fear energy, embracing a villainous arc rather than true Green Lantern heroism. The same shills and hypocritical DC fans who spent years complaining about "dark and gritty" projects like Man of Steel and The Snyderverse, are now bending over backwards to defend an earthbound, suitless Green Lantern show with zero constructs, zero space, and pure fan-fiction tier writing. Honestly, given all the grounded detective tropes, paranoia, and shapeshifting Manhunter conspiracies, this whole series should’ve just been a Martian Manhunter show instead of dragging Green Lantern lore through the dirt. "Relax, season one was just a setup! Season two will actually have Green Lanterns!" How many times are we going to hear the same copy-paste excuse? We dissect the blatant character assassination, the lack of real character arcs, and why modern Hollywood keeps stripping away the grand dignity of iconic comic book legends to validate their own cynical worldviews. Has James Gunn completely broken Green Lantern before the DCU even gets off the ground, or are fans finally waking up? Drop a like, subscribe, and hit the comments with your unfiltered thoughts!
