The C10 is, one of the ugliest pistols I own, a stepping stone in pistol development, highly usable.
The early CO2 powered target pistols used gas straight from the cylinder, via a knock open valve, this had the risk that liquid CO2 could be discharged rather than gas, which would cause a variation in velocity, which can cause a shift in point of impact = loss of accuracy. It’s a risk but not much of one. FWB’s solution was to include a chamber after the CO2 cylinder and before the valve. This meant that CO2 in its gas form is held ready to be used when fired, giving more stable velocities = better accuracy. In the C10 this meant that the cylinder sits low on the receiver giving the gappy look. The C10 was only in production for 2 years and the C20 kept the stilling chamber but moved the cylinder up to remove the gap.
It doesn’t impact its accuracy or handling, which are still good today.
