The Day Julie Gets Caught Dragging a Bag Through the Woods | Days of our Lives | 2000 | FREE EPISODE

Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) is furious with Nicole (Arianne Zucker) when she finally returns home. He demands to know where she has been these past couple of hours, and Nicole lies and says she got a flat tire. Lucas doesn’t believe her, so he goes out to the garage to check her spare, and much to his surprise, it’s on the car. Lucas apologizes, but Nicole won’t hear it. Eventually she softens and, with her own agenda, says he can make it up to her by taking her to Green Mountain Lodge for a romantic getaway. Greta (Julianne Morris) gets quite a surprise when Eric (Jensen Ackles) stops by. Trying to get rid of any thoughts of Nicole, he takes Greta in his arms and tells her she is the perfect woman for him. They share a passionate kiss and teeter on the edge of going further, but Greta, afraid this is going too fast, pulls back. Eric is a complete gentleman and apologizes for pressuring her. Later, we get the feeling Greta is totally in love with Eric, but he is still fighting his feelings for Nicole. Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) sends Rolf (William Utay) out on a mission to find out exactly when the baby of Hope (Kristian Alfonso) is due, since it is imperative the baby be born at the same time as Marlo’s. After Rolf leaves, Stefano passes the time with Marlo by playing chess, and much to his surprise, she makes it a close battle. When Stefano gets called away, Marlo pours herself a stiff drink, unaware he is watching. Doug (Bill Hayes) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) traipse through the woods back toward their car, dragging what appears to be a body bag. Both are terrified they will get caught for the mysterious crime they just committed, and much to their dismay, a park ranger wheels up and starts to question them. Hope takes the side of Lexie (Renée Jones) and tries to convince Abe (James Reynolds) that Stefano does have a heart after all, describing all the times he sacrificed for her and the baby. Abe still isn’t sold on this “Saint Stefano” idea and doesn’t want to adopt a baby with a connection to that man. Rolf, secretly listening in at the window, is angry as he overhears. Later, the group hears unusual sounds coming from outside and heads out to investigate. I am on the edge of my seat for this one. Do you think Julie and Doug can talk their way out of this one?
