Stop Calling Yourself a Failure Just Because You Had to Start Again

You thought you would be further ahead by now. You thought certain things would have worked out, certain people would have stayed, and certain dreams would already be part of your life. But here you are again, rebuilding what fell apart, learning what you wish you had known earlier, and trying to find the courage to begin another time. And somewhere along the way, you started calling yourself a failure. My child, why are you measuring your worth by how many times life forced you to begin again? Starting over does not erase everything you’ve learned. You are not returning to the same place as the person you once were. You carry experience now. You recognize things you couldn’t see before. You understand your own strength in ways that only difficult seasons could have taught you. Perhaps your plans didn’t work. Perhaps you trusted the wrong people, made decisions you regret, or watched an opportunity disappear despite giving it everything you had. You can acknowledge those disappointments without turning them into a judgment against yourself.
