You are not weak. You are overdrawn.
It is one forty in the morning and the room is lit only by the phone. You are on your side, one arm under the pillow, and you are doing something you would never call a decision. You are planning tomorrow. Five o'clock. The training. The work you keep putting off. You are building a whole day out of nothing, at the exact hour when you are least able to build anything.
Nothing about that plan is stupid, and that is what makes it dangerous. It is being approved by a body that has been awake for eighteen hours and has not eaten since seven. You are asking a bankrupt man to approve a loan. He will sign anything.
You have a name for what happens next. You call it weakness. You have been calling it that for years, and the word has been useless the whole time, because it points at your character instead of your conditions. It tells you to try harder. Trying harder is the one thing that has never worked.
A weak man needs to be rebuilt, and rebuilding takes years you do not have. An overdrawn man needs to be paid, and paying can start tonight. One of those is a sentence. The other is a set of instructions.

You are not weak. You are running a body that has been asked to do impossible things on an empty account, and then judged for the failure, by you, for years.
Pay the account. Sleep at an unremarkable hour. Eat before you are empty. Move before you can think of a reason not to. Take the cold water. Stand up before the argument finishes. Do it for a week. Then stop calling it character.
