सीता माता वन्यजीव अभयारण्य राजस्थान के प्रतापगढ़ जिले में स्थित है और यह 422.95 वर्ग किलोमीटर में फैला हुआ है। यह अभयारण्य तीन पर्वतमालाओं—अरावली, विंध्याचल और मालवा पठार—के संगम पर स्थित है, जो इसे अद्वितीय बनाता है। यहाँ सागवान और बांस के घने जंगल, बारहमासी नदियाँ, और दुर्लभ वन्यजीव जैसे उड़न गिलहरी, चौसिंगा हिरण, और पेंगोलिन पाए जाते हैं इस अभयारण्य का नाम रामायण काल की पौराणिक कथाओं से जुड़ा है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि माता सीता ने अपने वनवास के दौरान यहाँ ऋषि वाल्मीकि के आश्रम में निवास किया था। यहीं पर उनके पुत्र लव और कुश का जन्म हुआ था। अभयारण्य में स्थित सीता मंदिर और वाल्मीकि आश्रम इन कथाओं को जीवंत करते हैं | यह अभयारण्य न केवल जैव विविधता के लिए बल्कि सांस्कृतिक और धार्मिक महत्व के लिए भी प्रसिद्ध है। यहाँ की प्राकृतिक सुंदरता और ऐतिहासिक महत्व इसे पर्यटकों के लिए आकर्षण का केंद्र बनाते हैं | Sita Mata Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Pratapgarh district of Rajasthan and is spread over 422.95 square kilometers. The sanctuary is situated at the confluence of three mountain ranges—Aravalli, Vindhyachal and Malwa plateau—which makes it unique. It has dense teak and bamboo forests, perennial rivers, and rare wildlife like flying squirrels, four-horned deer, and pangolins. The name of this sanctuary is associated with the mythology of the Ramayana period. It is believed that Mother Sita resided here in the ashram of sage Valmiki during her exile. It is here that her sons Luv and Kush were born. The Sita Temple and Valmiki Ashram located in the sanctuary bring these stories alive. This sanctuary is famous not only for biodiversity but also for cultural and religious significance. The natural beauty and historical importance make it a center of attraction for tourists.
