Hyundai Kona Electric first impressions - big problem!

I go to pick up the Hyundai Kona Electric in El Centro California, and it's first drive is back to North scottsdale - will the 258-mile range Kona make the 270 mile uphill drive back to Scottsdale? The Kona Electric isn't available in Arizona so I bought it sight unseen from a dealership 270 miles away. What could possibly go wrong?
