Visiting the One and Only Galaxy Stage! | Chuck E. Cheese Vlog 17 #savetheanimatronics

While on spring break, I decided to dodge the rain and visit a few more locations. This trip turned out to be a bit of a rollercoaster, moving from a quiet stop in Port Orange to a historical find in West Melbourne, Florida. The One and Only Galaxy Stage: The highlight of this trip was seeing the Galaxy Stage in West Melbourne. Opened on April 26, 2011, this location was a test site for a unique prototype stage that eventually led to the "Circles of Light" design. Since this is the only one of its kind, getting to document it in person was a huge win for me as a fan. It’s been a race against time to see these shows before the "2.0 Remodels" take over. I’ve been tracking the removal dates of the locations I’ve visited to keep a record of when these stages officially retired: Madison, TN: Stage removed April 21, 2022. Knoxville, TN: Stage removed May 20, 2022. Port Orange, FL: Sadly, this location and its animatronic were badly damaged by Hurricane Ian in September 2022. Due to the upcoming remodel, it’s unlikely the bot will return. Reflections on the Change: I’ve always been sentimental about these characters, and being a FNAF fan has only made me appreciate the artistry of animatronics more. While I recognize the financial reality—maintenance is expensive and mechanical parts are difficult to upkeep—I still feel that replacing these icons with a digital dance floor is a mistake. Retro is trendy right now, and there is a huge community that values these "relics." Removing them feels like losing the soul of the brand, but I’m glad I could capture these moments before the curtains closed for the last time.
