The Source - Launch Event - Part Two

At our event, North East News: The Future, over 150 people came together at Newcastle Helix to explore what’s next for North East news, and why independent journalism matters more than ever. Editor Brian Aitken was joined by Charlie Charlton, Simon Rushworth and Steph McGovern to discuss a changing media landscape and the role journalism can play in a region like ours on the rise. And, of course, we officially unveiled The Source, a new online newspaper built to inform, inspire, connect and entertain through quality journalism. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped us mark the start of this new chapter, including the fantastic students at Gateshead College.
