Viewer "Requests" For SMM2's 5th Anniversary (Mostly Levels) (But Also More)

On the day this stream took place Super Mario Maker 2 turned 5 years old. As one of the bigger anniversary points and also the only one SMM2 is likely to have before SMM3 happens I decided to do something a little special for it. Basically, instead of normal Viewer Levels I did "Viewer Requests" wherein viewers could just submit a level (and most all did) but they could also request other things. I'll say, only a few really engaged with this but I did put my thumb on the scale by submitting a few of my own to make sure we saw a little of every mode in the game and reflected on that. Of course Mario Maker 2 isn't the only thing I reflected on during this stream. I spent 25 hours of the last week playing Hollow Knight for the first time while watching Star Trek Voyager so you know I got a thing or two to say about both of those. Additionally my AC went out for a bit, I finished 7 anime, tried 2 new anime, had minestrone soup for the first time, noticed how ad infested Fandom Wikis has become, speculated on what Universal will do with Zelda and that about sums it up. Honestly, kind of a slow week all told. Oh, also at the start of the stream I uploaded my next level, Bonus Biome 3: Pokey Pressure, and towards the end I kicked off development of my next one, Bonus Biome 4: Dim Lit Derelict. The former's code is JXN-4KS-72H! This is a different code than in the video - I realized that I had made a minor theming mistake and had to delete reupload. Sorry Jeagle! Your first clear was lost! 00:00 - Intro & Explanation 06:49 - Uploading Pokey Pressure 17:22 - Viewer Requests Proper 01:54:33 - The Lightning Round 03:55:14 - Last Call & Kicking Off Dim Lit Derelict 04:32:56 - The Lightning Round Concludes Originally streamed on June 28th, 2024 on Twitch and YouTube.
