Jesus’ invitation to rest is also an invitation to walk with Him. “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 This rest does not mean abandoning responsibility or living unprepared. It means releasing the weight of self-reliance and learning to move at Jesus’ pace, under His direction. We see this principle in the parable of the ten virgins. The wise virgins did not know when the bridegroom would arrive, but they were prepared to meet him. Their readiness did not come from predicting the hour; it came from faithfully tending what had already been entrusted to them. In the same way, the Holy Spirit helps us discern what God is asking of us in each season. We are not called to remain anxious, attempting to anticipate and control every possible future. We are called to listen, stay watchful, and obey what the Spirit is leading us to do now. Spirit-led preparation allows us to remain ready without becoming overwhelmed. Prayer, worship, studying the Word, and prioritizing Jesus do not manufacture the Spirit’s leading. They nourish our inner lives, keep our hearts turned toward God, and prepare us to recognize and obey His voice. Preparedness under His leadership is not anxiety—it is faithfulness. We do what He asks today and trust Him with what tomorrow holds. Come to Him. Take His yoke. Learn from Him. Walk with Him—and find rest for your soul. #WalkWithMe #Matthew1128 #WiseVirgins #RestInJesus #DailySurrender #HolySpirit #SpiritLed #FaithOverFear #ChristianEncouragement #WalkByTheSpirit
