Liverpool to Southport for £2 | Full Stagecoach X2 Journey

A full ride on the Stagecoach X2 from Liverpool Queen Square to Southport, filmed on Thursday 3 September 2026. We leave Queen Square at 14:51, two minutes behind the 14:49 schedule, and head north through the dense urban corridor of Vauxhall, Kirkdale, Bootle, Seaforth, Waterloo and Crosby, before the surroundings gradually open out through Thornton, Ince Blundell, Formby, Freshfield, Ainsdale, Hillside and Birkdale on the approach to Southport. Filmed in 4K/30fps, with the journey left largely as it happened: no music plastered over it, no artificial commentary and no attempt to turn an ordinary bus ride into something it wasn't. Just the road, the bus, the places along the way and whatever happened to be outside the window. This journey forms part of my North West by Local Bus day out — a circular trip through Manchester, Warrington, Chester, Liverpool, Southport, Wigan and Leigh using local buses, with a few walks, meals and pints thrown in along the way.
