Dissecting...50 Years of CARRIE (1976): Is It The Best Stephen King Adaptation?

Episode 244: In 1974, an unknown writer from Maine created the story of a young girl with unique powers, a highly religious mother, and a prom that goes up in flames. 2 years later, legendary filmmaker Brian DePalma decided he would take that story and bring it to the big screen, with 1976's CARRIE. Drew Hallum joins us once again to help us break down this now 50 year old classic, discuss all the similarities and differences between the film and King's novel that helped inspire it, and share our thoughts on what Mike Flanagan has in store with the modern retelling of this iconic story. Spooktober begins NOW, this week on the Dissect That Film Podcast. #podcast #carrie #stephenking #moviepodcast #briandepalma Follow Drew and his podcast Reel Feels:   / reelfeelspodcast   Intro/Outro Music by DARKRAIZARD Intro video created by Mickey Joe Smith Help support the show and join us on PATREON:   / dissectthatfilm   LIKE, COMMENT, SUBSCRIBE and HIT THE BELL GO TO OUR LINKTREE FOR ALL OF OUR LINKS https://linktr.ee/dissectthatfilm
