BAND-MAID Absolutely BLEW ME AWAY! | Play Live Reaction

That was **Band-Maid with “Play,” live**, and WOW! That absolutely blew me away. Right from the beginning, this thing was awesome. The drums, the bass, and then that whole call-and-response section—it immediately grabbed my attention. *That's how you start a rock song!* One of the things I really enjoy about Band-Maid is that sometimes I hear this almost classic hard-rock sound in what they're doing. There are moments where they remind me of some of those great hard-rock bands from the '80s. But then they'll turn around and throw something completely different into it. You'll get some melodic metal, some more modern sounds, different rhythms—they can go all over the place musically, but somehow they bring everything together and make it sound like **Band-Maid**. And these ladies can PLAY. The rhythm section in particular really grabbed me on this one. There's so much going on underneath the vocals, and the energy never lets up. I even caught some of the *English lyrics* this time! Most of the lyrics were obviously in Japanese, and that's perfectly fine with me. Music doesn't have to be in English for me to understand the energy coming off that stage. And Band-Maid had that crowd completely under control. They weren't simply standing up there playing the song. They **commanded that audience**, and you could see the crowd responding to everything they were doing. That's what I want from a live rock band. Great musicianship, great energy and a band that looks completely comfortable owning the stage. The more Band-Maid I hear, the more I like them. *Tremendous song. Tremendous performance.
