Observatory Ending - Subnautica 2 Early Access 1.14

Entering the Observatory after swimming straight past the entrance originally, testament to my ability to completely miss the obvious path with the slightest distraction. Seems this is the point at which the story stops for now, and my feelings are mixed about how it seems poised to progress. Our original mission to investigate what happened to the earlier crew seemed urgent at first, until the number of hours ago started popping up in databank entries. What first felt like an immediate action after tragedy now seems like a cold case, thrown even more off course by first the Tailings encounters (who also seem to have completely disappeared since), and then the scale of the Axum structures. Or at least that is what I thought, but now the only loose ends seem to be Sophie vs Nahema swimming off towards the World Tree, and all the runabout to power up the Observatory only seemed to serve to tell us to go where we intended to anyway... just with more cryptic nuance instead of a purely human tale of madness and betrayal.
