Drawing an Elvish Falconer | Fantasy Art Timelapse | Grizzled Lore

An elvish falconer, a blank canvas, and me figuring things out along the way. Watch this fantasy illustration take shape in Affinity Photo 2—from the first sketch through feathers, clothing, and a landscape backdrop. There are a few mistakes, some questionable layer management, and a bird that may have become slightly owl-like. Grizzled Lore is a project I started with two longtime friends. We independently create adventures for Against the Darkmaster, a tabletop roleplaying game of epic fantasy. We’re not affiliated with the game’s creators. Somehow I ended up being the art guy, so I’m learning digital illustration as we bring those adventures to life.
