Today was a special and meaningful day for my family. In the morning, I prepared and cooked a traditional Vietnamese memorial meal for our family. After everything was finished, it was already afternoon, so I took some time to walk around and visit both my husband’s family home and my parents’ home. I want to share with you the simple things I saw along the way — old trees, fruit trees, a small garden, old household items, and familiar corners that hold so many memories. These may seem like ordinary things, but to me, they are a part of my family, my childhood, and the place I call home.
