10 FAMOUS People Who DISAPPEARED And Came Back With Bizarre Stories | What Really Happened?

A crime novelist who vanished for 11 days while more than 1,000 police searched for her. An MP who faked his own drowning. A train robber who went over a prison wall and didn't come home for 36 years. These are 10 famous people who disappeared, then came back with stories that left everyone asking the same thing: where were they? Agatha Christie, Aimee Semple McPherson, Patty Hearst, John Stonehouse, Frank Sinatra Jr., Ronnie Biggs, John McAfee, Fan Bingbing, Carlos Ghosn and John Paul Getty III. Every case is told from the record: police and FBI files, court records and the newspapers of the time. Where accounts disagree, or a claim was never proven, we say so.
