Japanese zen music for meditation and inner peace: over two hours of beatless koto, shakuhachi flute, temple bells and singing bowls beside a mountain waterfall in the late afternoon. A tall waterfall falls from the mossy rock face into deep green water, and its cool white spray rises slowly through the cedars. Beyond the gorge, blue ridges fade into the evening haze. The sun is low, a stone lantern has just been lit at the corner of the veranda, and at the edge of the boards a lone ronin sits facing the falls, his sword laid beside him. No beat, no rush, nothing to follow: only slow koto, breath through bamboo and the long fade of a temple bell. Use it for meditation, yoga, breathing practice, stress relief, reading, deep focus or slowing down at the end of the day.
