Now, in Part 2, we enter Kota Tua — the historic heart of Batavia. Today, people come here to take pictures, ride bicycles and enjoy the atmosphere. But centuries ago, this was a centre of Dutch colonial power and trade. Walking through these old buildings made me look at Jakarta differently.
