Discussion 16: Absolutely Integrable Functions

In this discussion, we shall study the space of absolutely integrable functions in some detail. The two main results in this discussion are the dominated convergence theorem, that allows us to interchange the order of limits and integration (even for non-monotone functions) and the Riesz-Fischer theorem which gives the completeness of L1 (X, μ).
