Jazz Ballades (Pt.1) - Kern, Raksin, Ellington, van Heusen, Green,Carmichael, Rodgers,Haggart,Garner

Arrangements of well-known Jazz balades by Yury Chugunov. The lyrics for the standards you can google easily. They're all new to me - I'm normally not listening to Jazz, but I think it's good to start to get to know these pieces. I wanted to include links of good performances of these pieces, but then we have a big list of links, and that's always a bit worrying perhaps. So here's just the list of pieces (all as mentioned arr. Chugunov): Jerome Kern - Yesterdays 0:00 David Raksin - Laura 1:47 Duke Ellington - Sophisticated Lady 3:44 J. van Heusen - Here's that rainy day 6:12 Johnny Green - Body and Soul 8:03 Hoagy Carmichael - The nearness of you 10:50 J. van Heusen - Like Someone in Love 13:23 Richard Rodgers - My funny Valentine 14:50 Bob Haggart - What's New? 17:18 Erroll Garner - Misty 19:44 Check out the fantastic performance by him!
