#villagecooking #streetfood #gujarat Our Bengaluru to Ladakh Road Trip – Day 4 was filled with beautiful travel moments, delicious food, long drives, and an unforgettable visit to the world’s tallest statue! 🚗🏔️ After an overnight journey from Mumbai, we reached Gujarat near the iconic Statue of Unity. Instead of rushing through the morning, we decided to make it special by stopping amidst nature to cook our breakfast. 🌿☕ We prepared delicious Khara Bath using the ready-to-cook powder gifted by Ranjith, the founder of Namma Filter Coffee. Cooking and enjoying a warm breakfast surrounded by nature was such a satisfying experience! 🍳 A 10-Hour Drive to Ekta Nagar, Gujarat After breakfast, we continued our journey towards Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. It was a long drive of almost 10 hours, but the beautiful roads and excitement of exploring a new destination kept us going. We checked into a resort booked through Agoda for just ₹2,450 for two rooms! After the tiring journey, we relaxed in our rooms and recharged for the evening. 🗽 Visiting the Statue of Unity – The World’s Tallest Statue In the evening, we visited the magnificent Statue of Unity, located near Ekta Nagar in Gujarat. Standing at an incredible 182 metres (597 feet), it is the tallest statue in the world and is dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister. Known as the Iron Man of India, Sardar Patel played a crucial role in uniting hundreds of princely states after independence. The statue stands majestically beside the Narmada River, near the Sardar Sarovar Dam, and is a proud symbol of India’s unity, strength, and national integration. 🇮🇳 🍜 Dinner at the Statue of Unity After exploring this incredible landmark, we enjoyed our dinner at the food carts located inside the Statue of Unity complex. We had delicious Chole Kulcha and Veg Cheese Maggi – a perfect meal after a long day of travelling and exploring! ✨ Laser Show & A Perfect End to the Day We ended our visit by witnessing the spectacular laser show at the Statue of Unity, which added a beautiful finishing touch to our evening. After a memorable day in Gujarat, we returned to our resort and rested, ready for the next adventure on our Bengaluru to Ladakh road trip.
