Back in the Garden: Fall Garden Tour & Cancer Update

It feels so good to be back in the garden. This is my first garden video since being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer this summer. Everything stopped for a while, including most of my gardening. Now that I've started treatment and have a clearer idea of what life looks like, I'm slowly adding back some of the things I love. Come along for a fall garden tour here in Mesa, Arizona. I'll show you what survived the summer, how I'm getting my garden ready for fall planting, what's already growing, and some of the projects I'm looking forward to. We're looking at cover crops, root-knot nematodes, roses, cool-season flowers, vegetables, tomatoes, butterflies, and raised beds that my family and friends helped me get ready for fall. I'm also sharing an update on my treatment, how I'm learning to slow down and ask for help, and why being back in the garden means so much to me. Thank you for all the prayers, messages, meals, cards, and kindness you've shown me and my family. I feel your support every day, and I'm so grateful. There's a lot to look forward to this fall and winter, and I'm happy to be back sharing the garden with you. 0:00 I'm Back in the Garden 0:47 What Survived the Summer 1:25 Planting Carrots and Dealing With Nematodes 3:14 Mahogany Splendor 4:23 Getting Roses Ready for Fall 5:51 Preparing Beds With Cover Crops 7:48 Changes in the Garden 8:54 Purple Hyacinth Beans and Roselle 10:01 Flowers That Attract Butterflies 11:10 Planting Cool-Season Flowers 13:05 Fall Vegetables and Sungold Tomatoes 15:04 Cancer Treatment Update 17:25 How Friends and Family Helped 18:57 Learning to Slow Down and Ask for Help 20:36 Finding Hope and Moving Forward #ArizonaGardening #FallGarden #GardenTour 🌱 Support Growing in the Garden ➤ Become a Channel Member Get access to exclusive videos    / @growinginthegarden   ➤ Visit My Website Gardening tips, blog posts, and resources https://growinginthegarden.com/ ➤ Join the GITG Academy Monthly classes, deeper dives, and community support   / growinginthegarden   ➤ Shop My Planting Guides & Calendars Planting calendars and helpful guides for desert gardeners https://growinginthegarden.bigcartel.... ➤ Sign Up for My Weekly Garden Newsletter Stay inspired with seasonal tips delivered every Thursday https://growinginthegarden.com/subscr... ➤ Amazon Storefront My favorite garden tools and supplies https://www.amazon.com/shop/growingin... ➤ Garden Beds & Grids I use Garden in Minutes beds and watering grids in my own garden https://glnk.io/koxp5/angela Use code Angela10 to save $10 off $100 Or code ANGELA for 7% off any size order ➤ Heirloom Roses Use Code GARDENAZ26 to save 20% off Roses (+ Bulbs and Perennials seasonally) See my favorite roses: https://heirloomroses.com/discount/GA...
